Return, Refund and Exchange Policy


We offer an exchange return policy toward any other item in our store.  If the item for exchange is more expensive than the item purchased, we will invoice for the difference.  If the item is the same value, a straight exchange will be made.  If it is of lesser value, a 25% restocking fee will be assessed to the returned item and the difference of the net credit and the value of the exchanged item will be refunded.  It is only in the last circumstance we charge a restocking fee.  In no case will you be charged additional postage and handling on the first exchange (we do reserve the right to invoice for postage and handling on exchanges after the first exchange).  We do not offer a full cash refund on purchases.  Potentially partial refunds are illustrated below.

Example 1: 

Original purchase: $100

Exchange item: $125

Invoice/Refund: Invoice for an additional $25 (no additional postage required)

 

Example 2:

Original purchase: $100

Exchange item: $100

Invoice/Refund: $0 (no additional postage required)

 

Example 3:

Original purchase: $100

Exchange item: $50

Invoice/Refund: Refund of $25 (restocking fee = $100 X 25% = $25.  Net credit of $75 minus new item cost of $50 = $25 refund)

Example 4: (for the math whizzes in the crowd)  =o)

Original purchase: $100

Exchange item: $90

Invoice/Refund: $0 (no additional postage required)

 

In other words, while this item is actually less than the original purchase and technically subject to the restocking fee, we will only charge the restocking fee (reducing your credit) if the credit to be made is over 25% of the original value.  You would not be in the unfair circumstance of paying more for an item that's valued less than you paid for the original item which was valued higher.

A return authorization is required prior to returning any merchandise.  This authorization can be obtained by e-mail communication. Please email inqsales@gmail.com to request authorization. Return authorizations must be requested within 30 days of the date we generate the label to ship the merchandise. This date is set and objectively verifiable by the email receipt you receive when the label is generated electronically.  When Inquisitive Designs Jewelry receives any returned merchandise, our Quality Assurance Department will review the merchandise to be sure that it is in 'New and Unused Condition.' This implies that there are no scratches, marks, or blemishes; the security tags are still attached; and the item has not been sized or altered in any way. We cannot accept the return of any item with any indication that it has been used. Please be sure to include any and all documentation that you received with the product, including a copy of the invoice. Returns will not be honored without all accompanying documentation and original merchandise packaging.


We do reserve the right to refuse any order.


For your security, billing and shipping addresses will be verified with your credit card company prior to shipment of any merchandise.


All Inquisitive Designs Jewelry merchandise is shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS) and is fully insured. By entering into a purchasing agreement, you are agreeing that in the event of any damage or loss during shipment, until the carrier finishes their investigation, you agree to not perform a credit card and/or PayPal charge back to recover such a loss (this process can take anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks).


In the event that you receive damaged or incorrect merchandise, you must contact our customer service department within 3 days of receipt of the merchandise (this date is also objectively verifiable with the electronic delivery receipt).


By purchasing any merchandise from Inquisitive Designs Jewelry, you are agreeing to all of the terms of our Return and Exchange Policy.

All merchandise should be returned to us fully insured. This implies that package has to be insured for the full invoiced amount with signature confirmation. This is for your own good, because if the package is lost, Inquisitive Designs Jewelry will not be responsible for it.

Rings returned with visible signs of wear and/or without the tags attached will be charged a 25% restocking fee, regardless of the exchange item amount.  Special Orders are not exchangeable. Special Orders are pieces that are made and/or ordered especially for the customer’s request and are not on our web site.


Orders that are refused or are returned by the courier due to their inability to deliver the package (invalid address, receiver unavailable, etc.) will be subject to additional postage costs to deliver your item.


If the wedding band you ordered does not fit your finger, you can return it within 30 days to be sized or exchanged. First resizing is free.  Please note that sizing is for FULL SIZES ONLY within the size range advertised.  We do not carry, nor can we size to half sizes.  The advertised size range though is subject to stock levels and should not be presumed available.  You must email first your desire to exchange for another size and receive confirmation of that sizes availability.
